Hello my name is Dave Stevens, I started playing golf as a youth but my passion was baseball. Playing off and on from the time I turned 17 to when I turn 30, and during the off seasons of a brief minor league baseball career, I managed to play competitively on the mini tours in California, and Florida. During that time I went back to school and received an education in nutrition and Physiology, I returned to the game I loved second best which was golf.
But decided to no longer make the effort towards tournament golf since my enjoyment level was not what I felt it should be. Instead I decided that since I received so much enjoyment from the game, and wanted to stay close to it, I would take on the roll of " caddie " and when I did I was hooked! I now live my dreams of the highest level of golf through the players I have worked with through the years. I have worked in many resorts through out the country as well as on the LPGA Tour part time. In my quest to better myself in my personal game as well as becoming a student of the game through my experiences with amateur and professional players I have found that while looking for ways to stay conditioned and improve my game, it has become surprisingly apparent that fitness in the right context, not only conditions your body and core but allows your mind to react properly therefore giving you a greater experience, and ultimately a fuller enjoyment of each and every round that you play.
Golf for me is now recreational, but through the years I have learned that the best advantage that I bring to the course with me in all cases is confidence, and that goes hand and hand with fitness for my game. I still use training aids from time to time, and would not discount that they are useful for me, But the best methods I have found are the ones that strengthened the core of those muscles which are used to generate power the most in Golf.
Always Remain Blessed, and Always Play Well!
